The Jimmie Baer
Early Childhood Center

Kfar Saba, Israel Preschool Improvement Project

In 1986, The Jimmie Baer Early Childhood Center opened in a struggling neighborhood in Kfar Saba, a city north of Tel Aviv.

This endeavor was made possible by Margie and Jimmie Baer, with support from community leaders in all of the Palm Beaches including members of the Baer family and other Floridians.

At its peak, the Baer Center served hundreds of children each year, from infants to 6-year-olds. They provided early childhood education for a predominantly refugee population.

The center’s mission today is to serve as a magnet providing critical services and resources to developmentally-challenged children from the city’s economically- disadvantaged eastern neighborhoods.

To carry forward the Palm Beach community’s legacy in this area and ensure the school has the resources it needs to flourish, the Baer Family and others are seeking support from generous individuals like you to sustain and strengthen this vital community institution.
