Lion Luncheon 2020

Join together with your fellow Lion of Judah sisterhood to hear an inspiring message from Academy Award and Golden Globe-winning actress and humanitarian activist, Marlee Matlin, who has overcome labels to excel in her career and make a difference in the lives of others. She will share a message about living generously, drawing from life lessons passed on by her parents and mentors. We are also celebrating the momentous 25th anniversary of the Lion of Judah Endowment program.

High Ridge Country Club
2400 Hypoluxo Road., Lake Worth

A dairy luncheon menu will be served.

Couvert: $150 per person*

Co-Chairs: Gigi Aron and Penni Weinberg

Featured Speaker: Marlee Matlin

Marlee Matlin received worldwide critical acclaim for her film debut in Children of a Lesser God, becoming the youngest recipient of the Best Actress Oscar at age 21. Though Matlin lost her hearing at only 18 months old, she never let her challenges deter her dreams. Along with a successful Hollywood career, Matlin has dedicated herself to raising awareness for many humanitarian causes, including diversity, LGBT rights, children’s advocacy, domestic abuse, addiction, better hearing health, and support of deaf and hard of hearing children and adults in developing countries. In 2015, she developed “Marlee Signs”, the first celebrity-driven app teaching basics of American Sign Language on mobile devices. Matlin speaks through her interpreter on many timely topics, including living generously and overcoming barriers to achieving your goals.
