JCRC APPLAUDS TOWN OF JUNO BEACH FOR WORK TO COMBAT ANTISEMITISM

Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County’s Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) is pleased to announce that the Town of Juno Beach unanimously passed a resolution (2020-8) rejecting antisemitism and adopting the IHRA Working Definition of Antisemitism. We extend our gratitude to Mayor Jason S. Haselkorn and the entire Town Council.

Following the adoption of a similar resolution by Palm Beach Gardens City Council, (the first in Palm Beach County and second in the US to do so) the JCRC formed a work group to encourage other local governments to pass similar resolutions and adoptions of the IHRA definition of antisemitism.

JCRC partnered with AJC in this effort and we will continue to work together to encourage other local governments in Palm Beach County to do the same.

This resolution clearly shows support of the Jewish community and is a crucial tool in fighting the rising scourge of antisemitism.

Antisemitism assumes many shapes in today’s world. In order to recognize and understand its various manifestations, JCRC’s Antisemitism Today presentation, now being offered virtually, will provide you and your networks with a clear understanding of the IHRA definition and how it is an important tool in recognizing and combatting antisemitism. Contact us to bring this crucial discussion to your gated community, social club, professional group or organization.
