BECOME A TRAINED, EFFECTIVE LEADER DURING A SEASON OF EXTRAORDINARY CHANGE

 

In these increasingly uncertain times, one thing is certain: the need for dedicated, compassionate and trained Jewish leaders is greater than ever.

Whether you or someone you know is a seasoned leader or new to a role at a local organization or synagogue, Federation is now accepting applications for two exclusive leadership tracks: Emerging Leadership Program (ELP) and Mandel Leadership Institute (MLI).

EMERGING LEADERSHIP PROGRAM (ELP)

Established more than a decade ago, ELP will provide you a deeper understanding of your leadership style; strengthen your connection to the idea of Jewish peoplehood; and help you learn about the key local issues related to advocacy and social action. ELP is designed for the next generation of Jewish community members who live or work from Boynton Beach north to Stuart and west to Wellington and have a desire to learn leadership skills.  ELP boasts more than 150 alumni who now serve the community in a myriad of impressive ways. The 16-month program will run from January 2021 to May 2022, with virtual sessions held approximately every six weeks. Learn more and apply here.

MANDEL LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE (MLI)

An opportunity to take the next step in your career as a current leader in a Jewish organization, agency, synagogue or at Federation, MLI is for individuals who volunteer or already serve on non-profit boards of directors, and who have the potential to serve in a senior leadership roles. With curriculum developed by renowned leadership guru Dr. Erica Brown, MLI participants will be exposed to thought-provoking and practical materials that can be applied to their current community roles. MLI is eight sessions from January to June 2021, and this year’s facilitator is David R. Levy, who brings extensive experience in the nonprofit sector to this year’s program. Both MLI and ELP programs are powered by Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County’s Mandel Center for Leadership Development. Applications are due by November 9, 2020.
