J Impact Fund 2023 Application

Application Deadline: April 24, 2023

The J Impact Fund is offering grants to Jewish youth-serving organizations in Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County’s coverage area (Boynton Beach to Martin County and west to Wellington) to support moving innovative ideas from thought to action.

Community partners, including synagogues, youth movements and other approved providers, have the opportunity to apply for a grant. Funding would be provided based on content, trends and need. Grantees also would work in partnership with Federation’s Jewish Teen Initiative, which would provide oversight on the implementation of the grant – allowing for Federation’s continued mentorship and engagement with all grant recipients.

All fund applicants will be asked to consider the following:

  • Seek to create NEW points of entry for Jewish teens, parents and professionals to thrive in Jewish Palm Beach.
  • Programs that received a grant last year may reapply but will be considered only if new elements are included that build upon the previous year’s experience.
  • Provide high-level Jewish learning and community-building opportunities.
  • Foster collaboration with multiple partners with one clear project.
  • Meet an identified need or want in the community and have a supportive network.
  • Support, develop or foster the infrastructure of the Palm Beaches Jewish teen community.
  • Create spaces that are pluralistic, welcoming and inclusive.

Today’s teens, often called Generation Z, look for multi-layered experiences. To that end, the J Impact Fund will award up to $8,000 for initiatives that focus on one or more of the following areas:

  • Embracing diversity and pluralism in Jewish teen spaces
  • Fun social events that create a Jewish teen community
  • Israel engagement
  • Social justice/volunteerism
  • Teen leadership
  • Teen mental health

As part of the application process, a marketing and publicity plan should be developed that would target the Jewish teen community. Federation’s Marketing Department will be available to assist in publicizing your event if materials are received six to eight weeks before the event.

Recipients awarded grant money will be asked to provide non-identifying data such as the number of participants, grade and age. We will not be asking for contact information. In addition, we ask that a brief end-of-the-year impact report be provided.

We may contact you during the application-review process for further questions and clarification.
