Out of an abundance of caution, we and our Jewish Volunteer Center (JVC) leadership have decided to cancel Good Deeds Day. We apologize for any inconvenience.<\/h1>\n

Sunday, March 29, is Good Deeds Day.<\/span><\/p>\n

Create positive impact in our community during this global day that unites millions of volunteers from 108 countries in acts of service for the benefit of others and the planet. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Spend the last day of spring break helping others, sharing kindness and doing mitzvot<\/em> (good deeds) throughout the Palm Beaches.<\/span><\/p>\n

Good Deeds Day is graciously supported by the Alloy Family Foundation.<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n


\nVolunteer Opportunities<\/span><\/p>\n

Beach Cleanup and Education with Sea Turtle Adventures<\/span>
\nOcean Reef Park, 3860 N. Ocean Drive, Riviera Beach – 9 a.m.<\/span>
\n Learn about the needs of marine life while leading a beach cleanup, sorting trash and preparing sea turtle nests. <\/span>
\nSuitable for adults and children of all ages and abilities.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Gleaning at a Local Farm\u00a0<\/span>
\nWest Delray Beach (address will be provided week prior) – 9:30 a.m. <\/span>
\nGather fresh produce from a local farm which will be distributed to food pantries throughout Palm Beach County to feed families in our community.<\/span>
\nSuitable for adults and children 5 and older; 15 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Adults are also invited to chaperone.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Care Packages for First Responders<\/span>
\nMeyer Jewish Preparatory School, 5225 Hood Road, Palm Beach Gardens – 12:30 p.m. <\/span>
\nShow appreciation for those who give so much to keep our community safe. Assemble care packages and create thank you cards, and deliver them to our local police and fire stations.<\/span>
\nSuitable for adults and children of all ages and abilities.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Beautify the Boys & Girls Club<\/span>
\nDeGeorge Boys & Girls Club, 4105 Pinewood Ave., West Palm Beach – 1 p.m. <\/span>
\nMake the DeGeorge Boys & Girls Club a happier place for local kids. Build benches for play areas, paint a mural, and assemble food packages and meals for families struggling with food insecurity.<\/span>
\nSuitable for adults and children of all ages and abilities.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
