The Emerging Leadership Program (ELP), powered by Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County’s Mandel Center for Leadership Development, remains a high-caliber initiative to develop future leaders in the Palm Beaches.
Jason DelGrosso
ELP Chair, Cohort 10
Jason is on the Board of Directors for Alpert Jewish Family Service and chairs its Satell Emerging Leadership Task Force. He is a graduate of Federation’s Mandel Leadership Institute Cohort 5, and he is a member of the B&P Cabinet. He also chaired the NextGen committee and served on the JVC committee.
ELP Cohort 10 will be active from February 2025 to May 2026.
The Emerging Leadership Program (ELP) is a unique and high-caliber leadership initiative for Jewish community members who live/work in the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County catchment area: Boynton Beach in the South, to Wellington in the West, to Martin County in the North. It is open to people who want to better understand the Jewish community locally and internationally, while simultaneously engaging in leadership skills. The primary intended outcome is that ELP participants will take a variety of active leadership roles in the Jewish community in future years.

The Federation is seeking people who care about the future of the Jewish community and want to engage in learning about Jewish Federation and the variety of Jewish communal organizations within the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County catchment area. We encourage anyone within the parameters to apply. During the participant-selection process, careful attention will be paid to the welcoming of the group (in regard to occupation, age, gender and location within the catchment area).
Our local Jewish community has been and continues to grow with people who choose to live, work and raise their families here full-time. Jewish Federation is at the helm of major changes to better serve our growing community. Our community needs strong Jewish leadership to lead our Jewish organizations into 21st-century models of planning and philanthropy. ELP will train our future Jewish leaders. Participants will learn about Jewish Federation and its agencies, including how they are structured, the allocation process and the governance processes. ELP will be helpful to participants through the teaching of leadership skills that can be applied to one’s career and other areas in life. ELP participants will also forge close social relationships. With the combination of prior leadership experience and the knowledge gained from their respective sessions, participants will be poised for success as they take their place among the very best leaders in our community.
ELP Cohort 10 will be active from February 2025 to May 2026. Stay tuned for updates on the application period for Cohort 11.
ELP alumni are involved deeply in Jewish Palm Beach. Since 2009 when ELP was established, there have been 122 individuals who have completed the program, 112 of whom still live in the Palm Beaches. More than 40 alumni are currently serving in leadership roles at Federation, Mandel JCC, Meyer Academy and several synagogues.
