Volunteers Celebrate Good Deeds Day
Nearly 30 community members representing the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County’s NextGen young adults division celebrated Good Deeds Day with a service project held at the Florence De George Boys & Girls Club in West Palm Beach. Volunteers packed 250 weekend snack bags for students, painted the facility, and cleaned high-traffic areas.
“Doing good and helping others is the foundation of Jewish life; it’s also the foundation of the work of Federation and Next Gen,” shared Jason DelGrosso, vice chair of NextGen. “It was an honor to work alongside other community members who share the same values that will make our community a brighter and better place for all.”
Good Deeds Day is a global movement that unites people from more than 90 countries to do good deeds for the benefit of others and the planet. Daniel Gimbel, Brooke Pertnoy, and Sara Rose Soffler served as the Good Deeds Day event committee.
