Register to volunteer at one of the many service opportunities throughout the community, then join us for a BBQ-style lunch at Currie Park in West Palm Beach to celebrate the impact you’ve made.


Beach Cleanup with Sea Turtle Adventures
• 9-11:30 a.m.
• Ocean Reef Park, 3860 North Ocean Dr. (Singer Island)
• All ages are welcome. 120 participant cap.
Volunteers will spend the morning learning about the needs of marine life; then, they’ll participate in a beach cleanup, sort trash and prepare sea turtle nests with Sea Turtle Adventures, a local sea turtle and beach life nonprofit organization focused on conservation and education. This opportunity is wonderful for families and all ages.

Helping Families and Beautifying the Florence De George Boys & Girls Club

• 8:30-11:30 a.m.
• 4105 Pinewood Ave., West Palm Beach
• All ages are welcome. 100 participant cap.
In partnership with Palm Beach Day Academy, Jewish Volunteer Center volunteers will beautify the Florence De George Boys & Girls Club. Projects include painting, enhancing the teen lounge, updating the landscaping and preparing more than 500 food packages for food-insecure families. Please wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes.

Addressing Hunger in Our Community at Feeding Palm Beach County

• 8:30-11:30 a.m.
• 4925 Park Ridge Blvd., Boynton Beach
• Ages 12 and older are welcome (adult supervision required for ages 12-16). 45 participant cap.
Volunteers will meet at the Palm Beach County warehouse for Feeding South Florida to receive an overview of food insecurity in our community and food-packing guidelines. The group then will work in an assembly line to sort and pack boxes of food. Please wear closed-toe shoes.

Addressing Hunger in Our Community at The Palm Beach County Food Bank

• 9-11:30 a.m.
• 525 Gator Drive, Lantana
• Ages 12 and older are welcome (adult supervision required for ages 12-16). 25 participant cap.
Volunteers will meet at the warehouse for The Palm Beach County Food Bank for an orientation, followed by sorting and packing boxes of food. Please wear closed-toe shoes.

Helping the Homeless at Currie Park

2400 N. Flagler Drive, West Palm Beach
Jewish Volunteer Center is offering four opportunities to show your compassion at Currie Park. We appreciate you bringing donations of clothing, blankets, towels and toiletries to the park for distribution to those in need.
10-11:30 a.m. – Pack care packages of paper goods, garbage bags, snacks, socks, etc., for the homeless.
50 participant cap.
10-11:30 a.m. – Assemble packages with travel-size toiletries to be donated to St. Ann Place outreach center for the homeless. 25 participant cap.
12:30-3 p.m. – Serve meals. 20 participant cap.

Big Dog Ranch Rescue

• 9:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

• Ages 10 and up. 25 participant cap.
Volunteers will help to walk dogs, bathe dogs , play with dogs, organize supplies and more.

St. Ann Place

• 7:15 a.m.–11:30 a.m.

• Adults only. 8 participant cap.
Volunteers will prepare and serve breakfast to the community that receives meals at St. Ann Place. After breakfast, volunteers will prepare 150 bag lunches.

Tikkun Olam Service Award Ceremony

• Noon-12:30 p.m
• Currie Park, West Palm Beach
We’ll meet at the Martin Luther King Jr. memorial in the park to honor community leaders for their volunteerism. Together, we will honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. as we link arms and march to the community lunch and celebration site.

BBQ-Style Lunch and Celebration for the Entire Community

• 12:30–3 p.m.
• Currie Park, 2400 N. Flagler Drive, West Palm Beach
The Jewish Volunteer Center is providing lunch for the homeless, volunteers who dedicated their morning to making an impact locally and community members of all ages. Join us as we celebrate the impact we’ve made here in the Palm Beaches with a party open to all ages in the community. The event features musical entertainment including a DJ, photo booth, video game truck, rides, Tu B’Shevat activities and more.
