Experience a special evening of Israeli wine, food and art, featuring the work of Israeli artist/photographer Erez Kaganovitz, creator of the renowned Humans of Tel Aviv project. Share the miracle of Hanukkah with children aged 6 months to 19 years old who receive services from Alpert Jewish Family Service. Our Jewish Volunteer Center (JVC) is collecting gift cards from Target, GameStop, Barnes & Noble, The Gardens Mall and Michaels.

Feeding Children Everywhere Project

Two opportunities to give! Create miracles for local children and families facing food insecurity by packing 60,000 meals in a high-energy volunteer environment. Kindness to Animals Project

Make a gift or donate items from the wish lists of Furry Friends Adoption, Clinic & Ranch, the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League and Big Dog Ranch Rescue. Reading Express Project

Helping kids learn to read opens doors of opportunity, teaches empathy, and equips children for success. Spend the morning with Federation’s Anne & Sam Klein Literacy program as we bring joy to local children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade, reading with them and donating a book to each child for their personal library. You will receive exact school address and volunteer time after you register. Space is limited.


Countdown to Hanukkah

Celebrate the first night of Hanukkah with a free public party at Rosemary Square. Countdown to Hanukkah features dancing, music and fun activities for the whole family. The Jewish Volunteer Center (JVC) has partnered with Operation Gratitude to pack care packages and make handmade cards for active duty military that are overseas for the holidays, and veterans around the country.

$18 / family (Free admission with donation for In Jacob’s Shoes)
Enjoy gymnastics, games, swimming, art and more, all while celebrating community and making new friends. Create miracles for children in need throughout the Palm Beaches and enjoy free admission by supporting In Jacob’s Shoes. Simply donate any size sneakers, cleats, dress shoes, new socks, new shoelaces, insoles and athletic equipment such as shin guards, balls, bats, helmets and mitts.


#RandomActofKindness Project

Do your part to make kindness the “new normal” in the Palm Beaches. Get creative in finding small, but impactful ways of being kind, doing good and encouraging others. Pay for someone’s morning coffee, offer a kind word and a smile, or help someone carry packages to their car. Challenge family, friends and co-workers to do the same by sharing your random act on social media, using #8Days8Ways, #JVC and #RandomActofKindness.
