We are beyond proud to announce that Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County has been named Nonprofit of the Year by the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce. At the 2024 Annual Leadership Awards, Federation stood among our community’s most impactful leaders and organizations to receive one of Palm Beach North’s highest honors.
The prestigious award is a testament to our community’s generous support and involvement, as well as the tireless efforts of our exceptional leaders, volunteers and professionals. Over the past year, we have embraced our role as Jewish Palm Beach’s “City Hall,” with significant strides in our mission to serve and uplift our community:
- Critical Relief Efforts in Israel: In times of global crises, our community has consistently stepped up, raising $10 million for Israel after the October 7 attacks and $2 million for Ukrainian relief efforts, particularly aiding the 200,000 Jews affected by Russia’s invasion. Through the Stacey & Mark Levy Center for Israel & Overseas, Jewish Palm Beach has demonstrated unwavering support for people in need worldwide.
- Combating Antisemitism: Federation’s Palm Beach Center to Combat Antisemitism & Hatred has become a vital community resource, fostering dialogue and understanding through initiatives like the Community Leaders Study Tour of Israel and successfully advocating for a proclamation recognizing Jewish American Heritage Month in Palm Beach County.
- Engagement in Jewish Life: More people than ever are connecting with Jewish life in the Palm Beaches. Expansions within our Friedman Commission for Jewish Education, Dorothy & Sidney Kohl Jewish Volunteer Center and our partnerships with organizations such as OneTable have created new opportunities to reach community members of all ages and enrich Jewish life.
