Community Leader Samuel D. Liebovich Honored with Jeanne Levy Community Leadership Award

Nearly two hundred of the most dedicated leaders and philanthropists in the Jewish community of the Palm Beaches gathered virtually on March 17, 2021 to celebrate the collective impact of the Jewish community and to recognize community leader Samuel D. Liebovich with the Jeanne Levy Community Leadership Award, Federation’s highest accolade.

During the more than 20 years Mr. Liebovich has spent in the Palm Beaches, he has demonstrated his dedication and willingness to lead in order to create and nurture a strong and vibrant Jewish community in the Palm Beaches, in Israel and around the world.

Through his involvement with the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County, Mr. Liebovich has supported numerous causes including chairing the LIFE & LEGACY® Initiative, coordinated through Federation’s Jewish Community Foundation, which has inspired donors to pledge millions of dollars in future commitments to Jewish organizations in the Palm Beaches. He has also chaired the Community Strategy & Planning and Israel & Overseas committees and has had leadership roles with the Friedman Commission for Jewish Education, Hillel of Broward and Palm Beach, and his synagogue, Temple Beth David.

Marilyn and Bruce Alexander and Sheryl & Dr. Tommy Davidoff served as event co-chairs, with Robert M. Beren serving as honorary chair.  The Jeanne Levy Award was presented to Sam Liebovich by Jeanne’s daughter Lynn Peseckis, and her son Mark F. Levy. Event guests enjoyed musical entertainment provided by multi-platform creator and performer, Jonah Platt.
