We offer people with differing abilities and their loved ones the resources needed to live meaningful, fulfilling lives rooted in Jewish values.
Launched through a grant from Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County, the Jewish Disabilities Network (JDN) is a collaborative initiative of Jewish agencies, organizations and synagogues working together to create an inclusive and embracing Jewish community for people with differing abilities of all ages and their families.
Education, Advocacy, and Emotional Support
The Melvin J. & Claire Levine LifePlanning® Program offers education, advocacy, consultation and emotional support to parents, siblings and caregivers of a family member with a differing ability. This program encourages and assists in planning for the future and helps find community resources for you or your loved one with a differing ability.
Volunteer Opportunities
The Jewish Volunteer Center of Palm Beach County is your gateway to volunteerism and community programs. We are committed to providing you with inclusive opportunities to build an active, compassionate and tolerant Jewish community that meets the most pressing needs in the Palm Beaches and across the globe.
Mental Health Support
The Counseling Program at Alpert Jewish Family Service utilizes licensed professionals to enable people experiencing emotional problems, relationship or family issues, or temporary stresses to stabilize or resolve these issues. The Psychiatry Program includes developmental consultation and treatment, comprehensive assessment, medication evaluation, management, and ongoing follow up monitoring. The counseling and psychiatry team at Alpert Jewish Family Service is here to provide quality services to individuals of all ages and their families.
Residential Services
Located in the heart of Palm Beach County, Levine Jewish Residential & Family Service offers a cutting-edge residential program providing a continuum of services for those who may be developmentally disabled, significantly learning disabled, and/or chronically mentally ill.
Jewish Education
The Yad Hebrew School for Students with Differing Abilities, a program of Jewish Federation’s Friedman Commission for Jewish Education, brings children the richness of their Jewish heritage and fosters pride and self-assurance in their identity as valued members of the Jewish community.

Summer Camp
Camp Shalom, a program of the Mandel JCC, offers inclusive, fun and therapeutic summer camps and activities specifically designed for children, teens and young adults with special needs.
PACE for Seniors
Through the Program All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), MorseLife enables older adults to maximize their independence and remain in their homes and in their communities while receiving comprehensive healthcare and supportive services.
Care Management for Seniors
The Care Management Program at Alpert JFS utilizes professionals who specialize in assisting individuals with special needs, adults, older adults and their families in meeting long-term care arrangements. Alpert JFS care managers are credentialed professionals with extensive experience working with individuals with special needs.

The Family Reimbursement Education Fund
The Family Reimbursement Education Fund helps Jewish families by repaying the cost of goods and services related to educational needs, which cannot be obtained through other sources. There are limited funds available each year. Applications will be reviewed by a sub-committee on a first come, first serve basis. Families may receive one reimbursement of up to $500 annually. This is not a scholarship fund.
