Child Psychiatry
Alpert JFS is privileged to have on our clinical team renowned child psychiatrist Dr. Jeryl D. Kershner, who specializes in child and adolescent psychiatry and developmental and behavioral pediatrics, and sub-specializes in the pharmacology of developmental and psychiatric problems.

Counseling Program
The Counseling Program utilizes experienced, professional Master’s level counselors who have specialized training working with children and families. We are here for your child your family.

Play Therapy Program
The Play Therapy Program utilizes expert therapists trained to utilize therapy techniques that involve clay, paints, puppets, dolls, etc…with which the child can express her feelings, and explore new, more successful ways to cope.

Psychological Testing
The Psychological Testing Program offers a wide range of comprehensive psychological evaluations provided by Doctoral Level Mental Health Professionals. The results and recommendations from the evaluations can be used in schools for educational planning, placement, and testing accommodations.

Boynton JCC:
Special Needs Enrichment Program
The JCC Social Skills enrichment program is designed to provide social skills instruction in a small group settings. Staff will work on turn taking, cooperative play, and taking others perspectives in a fun way. Every week will cover a different topic, and our team will work with classroom staff to generalize these lessons. A parent meeting will be held at the end of the session to review each participants progress. (Ages 2-4)

Explore CJE’s vibrant Jewish learning programs – including PJ Library® and PJ Our Way®, the Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning, Jewish Teen Initiative, Israel Program Center, educator professional development, and Yad Hebrew School for Students with Differing Abilities.

P.J. Library
PJ Library sends free Jewish children’s books to families across the world every month. PJ Library welcomes all Jewish families, whatever background, knowledge, family make-up, or observance may be. We offer several books that feature strong characters with disabilities, as well as storylines about acceptance, inclusion, and learning from anyone. If your child has specific learning needs, we are happy to accommodate. Birth through 12.

Yad Hebrew School for Students with Differing Abilities
Jewish Learning for Ages 4 to 22

Designed to meet a variety of educational and behavioral needs, Yad Hebrew School has provided students in Palm Beach County with meaningful, engaging and individualized Jewish education for more than 20 years. We are proud to be the only Hebrew school of our kind in our area.

Students benefit from 1:1 student/teacher ratio, while connecting with peers in a nurturing environment during Sunday Hebrew and Judaic education. Our highly trained teachers work with students to create a love of Jewish learning and empower them to meet their own unique potential.
