The Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) Act allows individuals to save money tax-free for a wide variety of future expenses including transportation, housing and education while maintaining benefits such as SSI and Medicaid. Individuals who have a severe diagnosis or disability may be eligible to use an ABLE account to save for short-term expenditures and invest for long-term goals.
