Join us for an intimate conversation with Jewish Community Leaders and PJ Library Grandparents Circle Leaders on the vital role that grandparents play in fostering Jewish identity and nurturing positive connections to Israel.
The speakers will share critical information for navigating the complexities of our time and provide vital information for grandparents, who play a vital role in shaping the cultural and religious identity of their grandchildren—especially in the face of contemporary challenges such as war and rising antisemitism. PJ Library resources that grandparents can use to serve as pillars of strength during times of crisis will be shared. The program will include a volunteer opportunity provide “Gift of Reading Care Packages” for children. Bring a book and essential clothing (socks or underwear) for a child in need who is the same age(s) as your grandchild(ren). At the event, you will add these, with a handwritten note, to our Gift of Reading Care Packages. They will be delivered to children at a local Title 1 elementary school by the Kohl Jewish Volunteer Center.
