Community Leaders and professionals will come together with scholars from the Shalom Hartman Institute to explore questions facing contemporary Jewish communities. Some of the themes will address:
- What is a vision for vibrant Jewish life and community in Palm Beach?
- How can leaders articulate a Judaism of excellence that will engage Palm Beach Jews and inspire them to opt-in amidst a growing marketplace of choice?
- What is the nature of community and belonging at a time when traditional boundaries that once held Jews together as a distinct people are changing and dissolving?
- How is the intensification of communal, political and religious polarization impacting our institutions, identities, and ideologies?
- How might these challenges impact the way we think about leadership and the ways we work to shape the future of our Jewish communities?
- How does the North American Jewish community’s relationship with Israel impact communal conversations and institutions?
