Hosted by Federation’s Commission for Jewish Education (CJE), the Anita & Robert Naftaly Day of Awareness provides two free educational sessions and a resource fair.
Ariel Simms, CEO of RespectAbility, a national disability-led nonprofit fighting stigmas and working to change how society views people with disabilities, will speak at both sessions.

Nothing About Us, Without Us: Advancing Disability Inclusion in Palm Beach County
10 -11:30 a.m.
This workshop is designed for the entire community to learn how to best support children and family members with special needs, how to break down barriers and how to maximize awareness while building a stronger sense of community. Attendees will hear about the complex ever-evolving concept of disability and several people with disabilities will share their own inclusion challenges.
*Parents and caretakers are invited to bring their children to an engaging and inclusive sports clinic with Ignite Sports while you attend the workshop and resource fair.

Special Needs Community Resource Fair:
11 a.m.- 2 p.m.
This fair features an opportunity for you to meet with organizations and providers enhancing our community with vital programs, services and resources.
FOR EDUCATORS AND CLERGY
Equity in Education: Meeting the Needs of Disabled Students and Diverse Learners in Palm Beach County
1- 2:30 p.m.
This workshop and interactive session is designed for educators and clergy to address the diverse learning needs across the Jewish community, as well as best practices and practical takeaways for creating inclusive classrooms and a sense of belonging for all students. Educators will have the opportunity to share their own challenges and successes, as well as needs and ideas for connecting Jewish values in education.
