One of our highest priorities at Federation is ensuring the safety and security of the Jewish community in the Palm Beaches. In April, our security director, Ron Vosatka, traveled to Israel for a high-level law enforcement seminar. Ron was joined by members of the West Palm Beach Police Department, Palm Beach Gardens Police Department, and The Jupiter Police Department, as well as law enforcement from other South Florida jurisdictions.
The five-day program included discussions on the challenges of global terrorism, antisemitism and security threats facing Jewish communities around the world. Federation appreciates the support and leadership of Israel’s Ministry of Diaspora Affairs משרד התפוצות and our partners the Jewish Federations of North America and the Secure Community Network, who coordinated the seminar.
As a result of our participation, Federation’s J-Secure program is better equipped to provide synagogues and organizations in our community with proven safety and security resources and services, free of charge.
