As a campaign ambassador, your role is vital to the success of Campaign for the Future focusing on Federation’s Annual Campaign and opening doors with donors to discuss other giving opportunities. With every meeting you have and every gift you secure, you are addressing the most critical causes in the Jewish community and building a bright future. What you do makes a difference!

Organize/prioritize your cards

  • Meet with your Federation campaign professional. They are your best resource to review your solicitation cards and help you set up a strategy for success.
  • Reach out to your campaign professional with any questions, or if you need tools, tips or resources to engage prospects.
  • Tackle your “zero/skip” cards first. These cards can be the trickiest to complete, so allow yourself time!
  • Is there someone you know you always see at a community event, at the club or at synagogue? Keep their cards on hand for when you know you’ll run into them.
  • Each prospect deserves individual attention! By organizing your cards early in the campaign, you can determine the best strategy to engage each of your prospects.

PRO TIPS

It may be a little uncomfortable to ask for a donation, but remember you are asking for those who cannot ask themselves. You are giving people an opportunity to support those who need it most. You can learn more about our community, and our most pressing needs, in our Stakeholder Report.

Block 3

If you solicit any campaigners, close their gifts early. This sets a positive example for the rest of our donor base.

Block 4

Don’t cold call to ask for a gift. Instead, try sending an email or text to let your prospect know that you would like to schedule a time to discuss their Annual Campaign gift. This will also make it more comfortable for you.

Block 1

It is your role as an ambassador to be proactive; take the lead on scheduling the meeting, and follow-up as needed. Be responsible for calling your prospect back and choosing a meeting date.

Block 1

Create an email group that consists of your entire prospect list. This is a simple way to communicate with them year-round when timely, including sharing interesting information such as Federation’s Stakeholder Report and Financial Report.
